Mary Ellen Donaldson
Mary Ellen grew up in small-town Mississippi and earned a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Mississippi State University. She then joined the Nashville office of KPMG, an international CPA firm, for her first job. She didn’t know anyone when she moved to Nashville but loved the city, found a church home, made lots of friends, and even met her husband here. After more than twenty years in Nashville, she has no plans to live anywhere else.
Mary Ellen was an auditor with KPMG for four years and then moved into industry, handling the external financial reporting and accounting research for a $42 billion publicly-held regional bank for many years. She was also a stay-at-home mom for several years, but re-entered the world of accounting in 2005 when she joined McKerley & Noonan.
Mary Ellen is married and has three daughters whom she thoroughly enjoys. She is active in her church, enjoys the occasional opportunity for a good book, and loves relaxing in front of a fire on a cold day. She is a musician at heart and enjoys both piano and flute, playing for personal enjoyment at home and also in various community settings.
